Sporty Design That Draws Everyone's Attention

The Polestar 2 is definitely a head turner on the streets. With its athletic, minimalist design, aerodynamic lines and sharp edges, it exudes style and sophistication. The distinctive Polestar logo on the front and the flowing LED daytime running lights give the 19-incher an unmistakable presence. This five-door mid-class hatchback sedan is intended to shake up the mass market of the electrical industry and impresses primarily with a consistently clear design concept both inside and outside

But if you like the extravagance and uniqueness of your electric friend, you should quickly forget this thought with the Polestar 2. The vehicle is only available in a small selection of attractive colors, which, however, further emphasize its sporty sedan DNA. You have just two engines to choose from, as well as a standard and a long-distance version, and these are usually found in compact purchase packages. If your focus is on finding a classic model that requires no configuration or extras when you buy it, a package like this will probably speak to you directly.

Inside, the Polestar 2 features an Android-based operating system that enables a seamless and intuitive driving experience. In addition, keyless locking and seat heating ensure the appropriate comfort and maximum convenience when driving. But the electric sedan is not the pioneer when it comes to innovative assistance systems in an electric car. Nevertheless, Polestar is trying to compete with the premium brands on the market when it comes to autonomous driving and luxury design. At just under 49,000 euros, the car is comparatively cheap and can keep up with the leading electric giants, at least in some design aspects.

An Electric Drive That Has It All

Behind the chic facade of the Polestar 2 is a convincing electric drive that has it all. The single motor without all-wheel drive has a 69 kWh lithium-ion battery and thus brings plenty of power to the streets even in the standard version. A 170 kW synchronous motor also ensures that the car's power is transferred smoothly to the asphalt.

For those who are committed to sportiness, we definitely recommend the dual motor of the Long Range model with all-wheel drive, available for an additional 7,700 euros. The additional torque and improved acceleration are sure to impress you with this variant. Despite its weight of almost 2.2 tons, the Polestar 2 manages to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in no time thanks to the integrated all-wheel drive. Polestar 2 specifies an acceleration phase of around 4.7 seconds, which was even undercut in further tests.

As far as top speed is concerned, the model without all-wheel drive reaches a top speed of 205 km/h. However, if you opt for the front-wheel drive variant, you should be satisfied with a maximum speed of 160 km/h. But don't worry, that's still more than enough power to overtake common vehicles on the Autobahn and get your first adrenaline pumping. You should also not forget that consumption and range play a key role in electric cars in particular. The Polestar 2 therefore has a consumption of up to 23.9 kWh per 100 kilometers. In other average tests, a consumption of 19.4 kWh per 100 kilometers was determined in urban areas. So you can cover a considerable distance with the large, fully charged battery of the Polestar 2 without having to look for a charging station nearby

All-wheel Drive For Maximum Control

However, we are convinced that all-wheel drive also comes with some goodies that will amaze you, especially in terms of speed. Let's be honest: who doesn't want to drive a car with over 400 hp?Polestar 2's all-wheel drive is the epitome of control and performance. With this, it offers impressive traction and enables a driving experience full of precision and safety. You will feel how the engine's power is distributed to all four wheels and keeps you firmly on the road in every driving situation. All-wheel drive is available exclusively for the Long Range variant with a dual motor.

This model offers an output of up to 310 kW and 350 kW in the performance package, making it the most powerful version of the Polestar 2. Compared to the rear-wheel drive models, the dual motor has significantly higher performance and even better acceleration. The feeling of a racing car comes very close to the premium model in this version. This turns the road into a playground for your driving skills.Polestar 2's dual-motor design makes you feel like you own the road. You can count on these designs for high performance and precise handling while cornering and accelerating hard on the straight. However, the all-wheel power is not only intended for sporty driving manoeuvres. In particular, it offers you increased safety and control in slippery or difficult road conditions.

You'll feel confident and stable even in challenging conditions like a slick snow track or a steep slope. With prices from around 60,000 euros to almost 64,000 euros for the most expensive variant, the Polestar 2 is in the middle premium segment. Compared to the Audi e-tron model, at 80,000 euros and higher, this still scratches the lower premium price mark. However, when you consider the performance, technological advances and security it offers, the price is more than justified compared to some high-end Tesla models. The all-wheel drive giant is therefore the perfect choice for anyone looking for driving pleasure and control on the road. With its strong performance, precise handling and increased safety, it is a modern electric car that will compete with the cheap mass-produced cars on the market.

Optimized Battery Charging Time

Polestar 2 charging performance varies depending on the battery level. First, the car pulls up rapidly to 150 kW. With a battery level of 35 percent, for example, the charging power is gradually reduced and ends at just 35 kW, while the battery level is almost 80 percent. It takes almost 45 minutes to finally charge the car with a sufficiently high battery capacity of 84 percent. This charging time can be significantly exceeded with other electronic devices.

Especially when the battery level from 80 percent wants to continue to be charged. It takes about 1.5 hours for this to reach 100 percent. If it takes that long to charge the car, it is better to do it at a wall box at home. Especially if you are often on the road, you will probably spend a good part of your lifetime at the electric charging station. This is covered for a period of eight years, but the guarantee expires after a mileage of more than 160,000 kilometers.

Luxurious Polestar 2 Interior With Innovative Technology

The interior of the Polestar 2 convinces as generous mid-range luxury. As soon as you open the door and take a seat, you are enveloped by an initial sense of elegance. High-quality materials and careful processing show the attention to detail. An eye-catcher in the interior is the impressive 11-inch touchscreen display in the center of the dashboard. It is the heart of the infotainment system and enables intuitive operation. Here you have access to all important functions, from the navigation system to music playback and air conditioning. Much like Tesla, everything is just a tap away. Thanks to the Android-based platform, you can even download additional apps from the Google Play Store to make the driving experience even more personal.

The gear shift in Polestar 2 has been replaced by a lever, giving the interior a modern and minimalist touch. Unfortunately, the steering wheel is equipped with a large number of buttons, which at first seems a bit overloaded and confusing. On the other hand, you benefit from convenient operation as soon as you have memorized the functions of the individual keys. Unfortunately, the range of apps in the Polestar 2's Google Play Store is still somewhat limited. While there are basic apps for navigation and music playback, the potential for more uses is yet to be fully realised. However, if you wish, you can download additional apps from the Google Play Store and customize the infotainment system to your liking.

The interior of the Polestar 2 is rounded off with the 360-degree camera, which makes maneuvering in parking bays child's play. You always have an overview and can maneuver the vehicle safely and precisely. Of course, the Polestar 2 is not the first car with such a camera. Nevertheless, it is practical and can be an advantage, especially in the city.world of electric mobility for mid-range luxury cars. Thanks to the all-wheel drive, you always stay in control even in challenging driving situations and if you are looking for some driving fun in your free time, then the Polestar 2 is definitely an excellent choice. The electric device is the perfect choice for anyone looking for an affordable and stylish car that offers control and elegance in everyday life. With the yet strong performance of the four-wheel drive versions, precise handling and increased safety, the Polestar 2 is an electric car that will inspire you.

However, there are also some areas where improvements would be desirable to get even better performance and reliability from the Polestar 2. When it comes to assistance systems in particular, you should take a critical look at the electric car and be aware that they may not always offer the desired level of comfort. Nevertheless, we believe that the advantages of the sedan outweigh the disadvantages in the end and that you get a pleasant driving experience with the Polestar 2 that you will not soon forget.
